OnePlus recently announced its all-new mid-range device, the Nord 6. And now, the smartphone manufacturer is adding two new budget phones to the series: the OnePlus Nord CE6 and the Nord CE6 Lite. It has just confirmed the official launch date and a few key specifications of the upcoming smartphones.
OnePlus Nord CE6 and Nord CE6 Lite to launch on May 7
OnePlus India has officially announced that it is launching two new members of the Nord 6 series on May 7th. Alongside the launch date, the Chinese tech giant has also confirmed the key specs of the OnePlus Nord CE6 and Nord CE6 Lite smartphones.
To begin with, the Nord CE6 is set to deliver a strong performance with the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor. The device will also include a new Touch Reflex chip. While the component’s actual use remains unknown, it will likely boost the phone’s touch responsiveness.
OnePlus Nord CE6 key specs revealed
Talking about the display, the OnePlus Nord CE6 is confirmed to pack a 1.5K resolution panel with up to 144Hz high refresh rate support. Further, the company has confirmed that the panel will support up to 1,800 nits of peak brightness. The screen size remains unknown for now. As for the durability, the phone will carry an IP69K dust and water resistance rating.
As for the battery, the Nord CE6 will pack a large 8,000mAh cell. While the charging speeds are unconfirmed, the company has revealed that the device will support 27W reverse-wired charging.
The Nord CE6 Lite, meanwhile, is said to feature a slightly smaller 7,000mAh battery. It will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Apex. While most specifications remain under wraps, the manufacturer has confirmed a 144Hz refresh rate-supported panel, two color options, and a new rear panel design with a vertical camera bump.
