After dismissing reports that it would exit 12 major markets, Nothing has revealed ambitious plans for 2027. We may see as many as six phone launches from the brand in the coming year, doubling down on its lineup compared to 2026. Additionally, it also has more products planned for later this year.
Nothing plans to launch twice as many phones in 2027
Nothing co-founder Akis Evangelidis, in an interview with Times Now, revealed that the brand plans to release twice as many phones next year as it did this year. So far in 2026, the company has launched three phones: the Phone (4a), the Phone (4a) Pro, and the Phone (4b). Well, that means we’ll be seeing a total of six phones from Nothing in 2027. It’s not clear if that includes a flagship at the moment. The executive didn’t go into detail about individual products.
He just added, “We’ll share more details closer to launch, but the idea is to have a wider range of smartphones.” For now, we’ll have to wait for more information. That said, the Nothing Phone (4a) successors will most likely be in the lineup, given how popular they are in the mid-range segment. They are also the company’s best sellers.
Less optimistic about CMF
As for CMF, Akis was less optimistic about its future. He just noted that the company is keeping an eye on the market. Possibly referring to the RAM crisis and how it’s impacting consumers’ purchasing decisions. If you can recall, the brand had initially planned to launch the CMF Phone 3 Pro, but shelved it owing to surging memory prices.
“Even this year, we pulled off the plug quite late. We’re looking at different ways on how we could make it happen for next year. But that’s still in consideration. We’re staying close to how the memory price will evolve,” he told the publication. At the same time, he said the “plans are pretty much set” to double the number of Nothing devices in 2027. This signals a significant expansion of the company’s smartphone lineup.
More devices in the pipeline
It’s worth noting that the co-founder’s comments appear to contradict last week’s report claiming that Nothing would pivot to an AI-first strategy with the launch of a new smartwatch, earbuds, headphones, and speakers. However, the company hasn’t said anything about the report yet. In the interview, Evangelidis only said that Nothing now has “dedicated business units for audio and AI-native products.”
Lastly, there’s also a confirmation that Nothing has more devices in the works for Q3. But it’s not clear whether they’re phones, smartwatches, audio products, or the reported AI-first devices. Reiterating the company’s focus on markets like India, Evangelidis added that the US remains a “major priority.” Especially for its headphones and earbuds business.
