Narwal has traveled to Berlin for IFA 2026 to debut its Fall Lineup. This consists of the Freo 20 and Freo 20 Edge, which features the company’s new FlowWash Mopping System.
FlowWash is set to solve one of the hardest challenges in robot cleaning, according to Narwal. This system is going to turn mopping from a simple wiping into a continuous process that refreshes and cleans the mop in real time. There are three core technologies in FlowWash: a track mop design, continuous hot-water cleaning, and 12N cleaning pressure.
The Track Mop design is important because this microfiber flattened roller mop provides about 7 times the contact area of traditional roller mop designs. When combined with hot water (around 60°C or 140°F), it continuously refreshes the mop by cleaning it and melting away germs and bacteria. There is also an integrated scraper that removes dirt and wastewater in real time. Finally, the 12N of downward pressure allows the mop to scrub the floor effectively and lift those stubborn messes with ease.
Narwal Freo 20 and 20 Edge
Today at IFA, Narwal also announced two new robot vacuums: the Freo 20 and the Freo 20 Edge. The Freo 20 is the first model to feature Narwal’s new FlowWash Mopping System, and the vacuum is designed for families with children, pets, and busy households. It combines flagship mopping performance with AI-powered intelligence to deliver effortless whole-home cleaning with minimal maintenance.
The Freo 20 sports 31,000Pa of suction power; it also has the NarMind Pro Autonomous System with dual RGB cameras and AI recognition of more than 300 household objects. Narwal Freo 20 is available now for $1,099.
Moving on to the Freo 20 Edge, it brings Narwal’s intelligent cleaning experience to more people thanks to the cheaper price tag. It supports Narwal’s new FlowWash system and also has 31,000Pa of suction power, like the Freo 20. But where things differ is in the hidden dToF LiDAR and dual-sided structured-light 3D navigation. The Narwal Freo 20 Edge is on sale starting today with an MSRP of $799.
Narwal’s upcoming wet and dry vacuum series
Narwal also previewed its upcoming wet and dry vacuum lineup today at IFA, with a European launch planned for 2027. It’ll include an Essential Model and a Flagship Model with up to 400°C steam and 95°C hot-water mopping technology for advanced stain removal and hygienic floor care. Along with 25,000Pa suction power.
Narwal’s AI DirtSense technology is also onboard and automatically adapts cleaning power based on floor conditions.
