Motorola just released its first teaser for the upcoming Razr announcement. The company hasn’t yet officially announced when the Razr family will debut, but with this teaser, it looks like it’ll be next week, on April 29.
In this teaser, Motorola seems to be specifically teasing the new flip models of the Razr family. The Razr, Razr Plus, and Razr Ultra. We’re seeing a few different colors here, including a sort of beige, green, and blue. Definitely better than the usual black and gray color options companies use.
Motorola has been debuting quite a few different colors with the Razr in the past few years, as well as different materials. Last year, we had wood, faux leather, and even alcantara available. So it’ll be interesting to see what Motorola does this year.
The Razr is very popular for Motorola. In fact, we’ve seen from various sources that Motorola owns more of the flip market in North America than Samsung does. Motorola has also told us numerous times that their best-selling devices are bright colors, and not the usual black, gray, and white options. Which makes you wonder why more OEMs don’t embrace colors like Motorola does. Of course, for Motorola, a big part of this is their PANTONE partnership, which has really paid big dividends for Motorola.
Along with the Motorola Razr, Razr Plus, and Razr Ultra, Motorola is also expected to officially make the Razr Fold official. The four devices will be available in the coming weeks. We will of course, be there to bring you all of the details as always.
Motorola has been teasing the Razr Fold all year, and have even given us a good amount of the specs already. So there’s not much left to announce, other than some neat software tricks, as well as pricing. Which we should get on April 29.
