The Motorola Razr 2026 is finally official and has some pretty nifty updates this time around. Including a new Silicon-Carbon battery. This makes it one of the few phones announced in the US with a Silicon-Carbon battery.
Despite that, Motorola is also still offering the Razr 2026 in a ton of colors. This year, we’re looking at four new colors, which include PANTONE Hematite, PANTONE Violet Ice, PANTONE Sporting Green, and PANTONE Bright White. All of which are very different and have a very different texture too. Motorola is one of the few OEMs that really offer so many colors and designs on its smartphones.
In this buyer’s guide, we’ll detail everything you need to know about the Motorola Razr 2026, and hopefully help you decide if you should purchase it.

Where can I buy the Motorola Razr 2026?

With further availability at Boost Mobile, Spectrum Mobile, Verizon, Visible, Xfinity Mobile, Consumer Cellular, Google Fi Wireless, and Cox Mobile on May 21, with subsequent availability at T-Mobile and Cricket Wireless in the coming months.
Notably absent here is AT&T, but don’t worry, Motorola is selling the Razr 2026 unlocked, so it will still work on AT&T.
What carriers does the Motorola Razr 2026 work on?
The Motorola Razr 2026 is sold unlocked through various retailers and will work on all three carrier networks. That includes AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon. As well as any MVNO’s that use those networks – that would include Straight Talk, US Mobile, Cricket Wireless, Metro by T-Mobile, and many more.
What colors does the Motorola Razr 2026 come in?
The Motorola Razr 2026 comes in 4 colors. These include: PANTONE Hematite, PANTONE Violet Ice, PANTONE Sporting Green, and PANTONE Bright White.
The PANTONE Hematite is a warm, muted greige – meaning it’s somewhere between taupe and silver, with a slight warm undertone that keeps it from reading as cold gray. It also has a woven fabric texture that adds a good amount of grip to the device. Making sure you never drop your new Razr 2026.
Next up is the PANTONE Violet Ice, which is a very soft, pale blush-pink with a whisper of lavender/violet in it. It looks a lot like a rose quartz color in certain light, that’s light enough to border on white-pink but with enough color to feel intentional.
Then there’s the PANTONE Sporting Green, which is more of a statement color. This is a very vibrant teal-leaning green color. It also has a woven texture like the PANTONE Hematite, which makes it easy to hold onto your new phone.
Finally, we have the PANTONE Bright White. While the name makes you think this is a simple white color, it’s much more than that. The back panel has a chunky, mosaic-like mother-of-pearl or crushed shell texture that catches light in a really dramatic way. Each little tile on the back is able to reflect slightly differently. Giving you a really unique look at the Razr 2026.
What new features did the Motorola Razr 2026 bring?
The Motorola Razr 2026 includes a few new features, like Google Photos memories inside Motorola’s new Daily Drops. This is a feature that is similar to Samsung’s Now Briefing, which brings in news you might be interested in, weather, your calendar, and now you’ll see some Google Photos memories.
Another Google Photos feature that is available for the Razr 2026 this year is Wardrobe. This essentially gives you a digital wardrobe, so you don’t need to tear apart your closet to figure out what to wear.
Of course, Motorola is also still bringing in a bunch of new AI features to go with the stuff it already introduced last year, like Catch Me Up and Next Move.
On the camera front, you can now Rotate to Zoom. So, using Horizon lock in Camcorder mode, you can rotate your wrist to zoom in or out of your video. With Horizon Lock, this means that your video won’t be all shaky. This is a really useful feature to have, especially on a flip phone.
The other big camera feature coming this year is Frame Match. You know how you give your phone to a stranger to take a photo, and they just totally mess up the frame? Well, with Frame Match, you can frame your shot, then give it to someone to take your photo, and all they need to do is line up the background in the shot. It sounds like a lot more work than it actually is. But it works insanely well.
Finally, let’s talk about Live Updates and Video Wallpapers. On the Cover Display, you can now use video wallpapers, which are a bit buried in the Settings, but it is there. Allowing you to essentially have animated wallpapers on that smaller display. Live Updates is essentially Motorola’s take on the Dynamic Island from the iPhone, which Google has included in Android, so it’s no surprise that Motorola added it as well.
This is all coming to the Motorola Razr 2026 this year, some of which might make it down to older Razr devices, but we aren’t 100% for sure yet.

Should I buy the Motorola Razr 2026?
If you’re rocking an older Razr, the biggest reason to upgrade is the Silicon-Carbon battery. The Razr 2026 packs a 4800mAh battery rated for over 36 hours of life, and Silicon-Carbon is what makes that possible while keeping the frame slim and pocketable. That’s a meaningful jump if battery anxiety has been your main gripe with the flip form factor.
Beyond that, the camera upgrades are worth considering. Frame Match alone is the kind of feature that sounds gimmicky until you actually use it, and then you wonder how you lived without it. Rotate to Zoom in Camcorder mode is another genuinely useful feature on a flip phone, giving you smooth zoom control without the shaky mess. Throw in the new Google Photos integrations like Wardrobe and Daily Drops, and there’s a solid case here for upgrading, especially if your current Razr is two or more generations old.
