The Motorola Razr 2026 is official, and Motorola’s keeping it competitive. The new Razr will set you back $799.99, which puts it right in that sweet spot for a foldable, well below Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE territory.
Pre-orders kick off on May 14 at Best Buy, Amazon, and Motorola.com. If you want to just buy it outright, the universally unlocked version goes on sale May 21 for that $799.99 MSRP.
As for carriers, you’ve got plenty of options at launch. Verizon, Visible, Boost Mobile, Spectrum Mobile, Xfinity Mobile, Consumer Cellular, Google Fi Wireless, and Cox Mobile are all carrying it on May 21. T-Mobile and Cricket Wireless are coming in the months after launch, so if you’re on one of those networks, you’ll need to wait a bit.
But keep in mind that because Motorola is selling this phone universally unlocked, you can buy it unlocked and use it on any carrier you wish. That will also result in a cheaper phone bill for you.
At $799.99, Motorola is clearly going after budget-conscious foldable buyers. That’s a solid price for a flip phone in 2026, even though it is a $100 price increase over last year’s model. That’s going to be a tough pill to swallow, since there are very few upgrades, and it actually has more downgrades. Make sure you check out the Motorola Razr 2026 Specs before making your purchase. It does get a nice battery upgrade, but storage does get a downgrade, unfortunately.
If you’re in the market for a foldable and don’t want to drop over a grand, the Motorola Razr 2026 is worth a serious look. And you might find that Motorola has better software than Samsung; there’s a reason why the Razr owns so much of the flip phone market in North America.
Pre-orders start May 14. With open availability on May 21.
