If you’re an AT&T customer eyeing the Motorola Razr 2026, you might have noticed something a little frustrating. AT&T isn’t carrying the Razr 2026. At all. It’s not listed as a launch carrier, and there’s no mention of it coming to AT&T in the coming months either. That’s a pretty notable omission considering how many carriers are getting the base Razr this year. AT&T will be carrying the Razr Plus 2026, however.
That doesn’t mean you can’t use the Motorola Razr 2026 on AT&T. After all, the Razr 2026 is coming to AT&T’s prepaid carrier – Cricket Wireless – in the coming months.
The Motorola Razr 2026 works on AT&T’s network
Motorola is selling the Razr 2026 completely unlocked through Amazon, Best Buy, and Motorola.com starting May 14. And because it’s unlocked and compatible with all major US carrier networks, you can absolutely pop your AT&T SIM in and be good to go. You’re not getting a carrier-locked device with bloatware, you’re not waiting for AT&T to push updates, and you’re not tied to any carrier financing deals. You just buy the phone and use it on AT&T like any other unlocked device.
This is actually how a lot of people prefer to buy their phones anyway. You pay full price upfront, you own the device outright, and you keep whatever AT&T plan you already have. No contracts, no strings attached.
The Motorola Razr 2026 price starts at $799 unlocked, which is the same price you’d pay at any carrier that is selling it. So you’re not paying a premium for buying it unlocked either. Pre-orders open on May 14 at Amazon, Best Buy, and Motorola.com, with the phone going on sale on May 21.
So if you’re on AT&T and you’ve been waiting for the Motorola Razr 2026, don’t let the carrier availability list discourage you. Just grab it unlocked, throw your SIM in, and you’re set. It’s honestly the cleaner way to buy a phone anyway.
