Motorola recently introduced the global version of the Edge 70 Pro. The company initially launched this phone in India, but the model destined for international markets has some differences in the form of hardware improvements. The Motorola Edge 70 Pro global release adds features like a dedicated periscope camera lens and wireless charging, aiming for a more complete flagship experience.
Global Motorola Edge 70 Pro brings a periscope camera and wireless charging
The most notable change is the addition of a fourth 50MP sensor on the back. This periscope telephoto unit offers 3.5x optical zoom and a “Super Zoom Pro” mode that reaches 50x digital magnification. For better results, the sensor is assisted by OIS and has an 81mm equivalent focal length.
Besides the camera, Motorola added 15W wireless charging and 5W reverse wireless charging to the global model. This is a key upgrade, as the version released in India only supports wired charging. The device still features a massive 6,500mAh battery with 90W fast wired charging.
The design also gets more variety with four Pantone-validated colorways. Depending on the region, you can find finishes made of natural wood (Chicory Coffee), silk-inspired textures (Zinfandel), acetate (Lily White), or a wool-inspired finish (Titan). These materials slightly change the thickness of the phone, ranging from 7.19mm to 7.34mm, though every model weighs exactly 190 grams.
Other key specs
The rest of the technical sheet remains powerful. The Edge 70 Pro uses the Dimensity 8500 Extreme chipset and features a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. Interestingly, the screen can reach a peak brightness of up to 5,200 nits. The phone also comes with Android 16 out of the box and includes IP68/IP69 water resistance.
Pricing
Motorola has priced the Edge 70 Pro at £749.99 in the UK and €799 in most of Europe. In some regions like France, the price goes up to €899. The standard configuration for these markets includes 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. The company confirmed that the device will reach Latin America and other markets in the coming weeks.
