Lego has spent a long time building up its various ranges of automotive kits ranging from the small and simple Speed Champions kits to much larger and more detailed models. For much of that time, it was also about the only real plastic building brick company in the U.S. with many licensed models. Recently, though, Lego’s chief rival in the U.S., Mega Bloks, now just referred to as Mega, has been making serious plays for Lego’s market share with other licensed properties, including cars. The latter of which has been helped by joining forces with Hot Wheels, another brand in its Mattel’s, Mega’s parent company, portfolio. Its latest car kits, under the Mattel Brick Shop line, are a sweet pair of Audis.
