Back in the late 1980s, with the War On Drugs in full swing, the U.S. airwaves were bombarded with all kinds of anti-drug-use advertising. One of the most memorable ones finished with a father confronting his son about a box full of drugs he found. Upon asking his son about them and how he got hold of them, the son yells back, frustrated, “I learned it by watching you!” The implication is that if a parent uses drugs, the kids will pick up on it and do them, too. According to the British driving school Young Driver, a similar thing could be happening with your kids and driving habits.
