Hot on the heels of the recently reintroduced Grand Cherokee Trailhawk, Jeep will apply the ruggedized trim level to its kid brother. The automaker confirmed that the Cherokee would get an off-road variant that should add capability to the hybridized, small-midsize crossover, putting it in contention with the likes of the gas-electric Toyota RAV4 Woodland and Honda CR-V TrailSport – though hopefully with more off-road chops given its Jeep parentage.
