Last week, images shared by tipster Sonny Dickson revealed dummy units of the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro in a multitude of colors. Now, it looks like we might have more hands-on videos of the iPhone 18 Pro colors from multiple sources. At this point, it seems there’s really nothing left for Apple to announce this September.
iPhone 18 Pro hands-on videos
These iPhone 18 Pro hands-on videos were shared by a couple of sources. This includes a video posted on Weibo by user Ye Han along with a YouTube video by folks at TechDroider. Note that the devices in the videos are dummy units; they’re not the actual phones themselves.
However, they do line up with the previous images and rumors. While there’s no way to confirm if they’re real, the rumors are at the very least consistent with each other. The main takeaway from these videos is the color options Apple plans to offer. There are more simple colors such as silver and black. There are also more interesting colors such as Cherry and Light Blue.
One thing we want to point out is that the finish of the Cherry and Light Blue look slightly different from earlier renders. However, that’s probably to be expected. The anodizing process plays a role as well as getting the exact colors, but it’s good enough for us to get a rough idea of what to expect.
What else can we expect?
Apple is expected to announce the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max devices this September. For the most part, the phones will look the same as their predecessors in terms of design. If you were hoping for something different, you probably have to wait for 2027’s 20th anniversary iPhone, which apparently will introduce a brand-new design.
We have heard rumors that Apple could shrink the size of Dynamic Island on its new phones. The camera lenses are also rumored to be slightly bigger. But other than that, most of the changes will be under the hood. We’re talking about the use of the A20 chip, which is most likely built on TSMC’s 2nm process. We’re also hearing that Apple could upgrade the iPhone’s modem.
Also, in terms of pricing, we’re hearing that the company could pursue an aggressive pricing strategy. This means Apple could keep prices either the same or just slightly higher so as not to scare away customers. Obviously, this means slightly thinner margins, but if it means locking customers into its ecosystem for years, it might not be a bad trade-off.
