Right now, Amazon is selling the entry-level model of the M5 MacBook Air 13 with 16GB of RAM and 512GB SSD for just $949. That’s $150 off of its old MSRP; now it’s $350 off.
The MacBook Air M5 is a really great laptop; it’s what I use every day, in fact, this article was written on it. It’s still pretty thin and lightweight, which is what makes this such a great laptop. There’s no fan inside, because the M5 is so efficient, there’s no need to have a fan. My MacBook Air has never really heated up at all. Which is quite impressive given how thin it is.
You’re still getting that island keyboard that is backlit, unlike the MacBook Neo’s keyboard. As well as that huge trackpad, which I still believe is the best in the business, all these years later. Windows laptops still cannot compete with what Apple has here.
At this price, this is an absolute steal for this laptop, and definitely worth picking up. Apple does sell this in a few different colors, including Midnight, Sky Blue, Starlight, and Silver. I have the Sky Blue color, which does pretty well with fingerprints, though the Midnight will definitely show every fingerprint ever put on this laptop.
The MacBook Air was built for Apple Intelligence, so it’s going to be great for the new Siri when that launches with macOS 27 in the Fall. Though you can run the beta right now on it, if you’re brave enough.
This price won’t last long, especially with Apple raising prices today. So if you’re in the market for a new laptop, now is definitely the time to jump on it.
