Huawei has announced a new family of smartwatches at IFA 2026 for users who want advanced fitness tracking without giving up premium design. We’re looking at the WATCH 6 series, the Watch GT 7 series, and the Watch D3. The former retains the sleek, minimalist design of the WATCH family. It comes in two different size options and gets a stainless-steel case variant. The GT 7 series is a performance-focused wearable.

The Huawei WATCH 6 series includes the standard WATCH 6 and WATCH 6 Pro. The former comes in two size options: 42mm and 46mm. It’s quite light at just 38 grams and 10.2mm thin. The 46mm version features a stainless-steel case. On the other hand, the WATCH 6 Pro will be available in 43mm and 46mm sizes.Â
As for health tracking, the upgraded X-TAP allows users to access Health Glance with a simple touch. The smartwatches also measure 11 health metrics in four categories: basic, endocrine, cardiovascular, and respiratory health. They provide daily health insights and personalized recommendations based on long-term health trends. The new Healthy Living feature now has a Diet clover and covers exercise, sleep, mood, and diet.
There’s eSIM connectivity, Safety Check, a new wrist-rotation gesture, and Curve Pay for contactless payments. Users get support for 100 workout modes. The Pro model gets an Expedition app that offers expert guidance for fitness enthusiasts.
Advanced health tracking features
Then we have the WATCH GT 7 Series. The vanilla GT 7 comes in 46mm and 41mm sizes with eight color options, including Yellow, Blue, and Pink, while the GT 7 Pro is available in Yellow, Green, and Black. The GT 7 Pro features a scratch-resistant nano-tech ceramic bezel, a titanium alloy middle frame, and a comfortable fluoroelastomer strap with Huawei’s EasyCross design to provide a secure, comfortable fit.
The HUAWEI WATCH GT 7 Series offers a wide range of workout modes, advanced fitness tracking, and safety features for outdoor enthusiasts. New indoor snow sports modes can automatically track skiing and snowboarding, including distance, speed, elevation, and active training time, even without GPS. It also features intelligent filtering that distinguishes active runs from rest periods or time spent on ski lifts and magic carpets.
Users can also download maps for over 3,000 ski resorts worldwide through the Huawei Health app and sync them to watch instantly. This can be a helpful guide for beginners, preventing any unintended detours. It also introduces the industry’s first Turn Detection feature, which counts short and medium-to-long turns by calculating the turning radius.
Contactless payments and up to 21 days of battery life
The series also introduces features like G-Force Detection and Team-Up, which allow users to track teammates’ real-time locations and performance metrics on the slopes. For cycling, new features include Climb Planning, Climb Broadcast, and Sharp Turn Alerts. There’s AI Workout Analysis that offers training data and detailed reviews, helping users improve their performance.
The HUAWEI WATCH GT 7 Series offers advanced health tracking with an improved Health Insights feature. Additionally, the smartwatches provide a morning briefing, a Physical Readiness score, and AI-driven health analysis for personalized daily wellness recommendations.
The Huawei WATCH GT 7 Pro (Review) and GT 7 46mm models are said to last up to 21 days on a single charge with moderate use. Additionally, there’s support for Curve Pay for contactless payments, and it works with both iOS and Android devices.
The WATCH D3 is slim and more comfortable to wear
Lastly, we have the Huawei WATCH D3. Its design is claimed to be quite slim and more comfortable. The wearable delivers medical-grade blood pressure tracking, as well as intelligent measurement reminders and detailed Health insights. Also, it has advanced health monitoring tools like Health Glance and access to a variety of health study features, helping users take a more proactive view of their wellness.
The Huawei WATCH D3 uses a mechanical airbag, high-precision sensor and adaptive algorithm to ensure accurate blood pressure measurement. It supports 24-hour Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring (ABPM), allowing users to track blood pressure throughout the day and night.
Medical-grade blood pressure tracking
The watch also supports blood pressure checks before and after exercise. This will guide users in monitoring changes around workouts. It retains ABPM and Resting BP modes. Besides that, the Huawei WATCH D3 offers broader health tracking. The Health Glance feature can generate a report covering up to 11 health indicators, including heart rate, blood pressure, and SpO2, in about 60 seconds.Â
Health Insights now also combines blood pressure data with sleep and activity records to help users understand long-term trends and build healthier habits. The Health Community feature lets users view family members’ health data in one place and receive alerts when abnormalities are detected.
