
The Huawei Pura 90 series went official in China back in April. The lineup includes multiple models: the Pura 90, Pura 90 Pro, and Pura 90 Max. Months later, Huawei has now confirmed the global launch of the Pura 90 series. The phones will debut on July 14th, and the keynote will take place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Huawei Pura 90 series’ global launch date is July 14th
The Pura 90 series will succeed the Pura 80 lineup, which went official in July 2025. It remains to be seen whether all models will see a global release or some will be limited to the home soil, China. The company might share more details about them as the launch date inches closer. So stay tuned for that.
The official poster image has the caption, “Now is your Moment,” seemingly highlighting the cameras. We also see the Pura 90 series phone with its distinctive triangular camera island. It has a flat back panel design with rounded corners.

It’s all about cameras
The camera system undoubtedly takes the limelight. The Pura 90 Pro Max gets a 200MP periscope telephoto lens with a 1/1.28-inch sensor and 4x optical zoom. Then there’s a 50MP RYYB sensor with LOFIC technology and a 10-stop variable aperture. It also offers a 40MP ultrawide lens. It gets a 13MP front camera for your selfies.
Meanwhile, the Pura 90 Pro has a 50MP main camera, a 50MP telephoto lens with 4x optical zoom, and a 12.5MP ultrawide angle lens. Lastly, the vanilla Pura 90 offers a 50MP main, a 50MP periscope telephoto with 3.7x optical zoom, and a 12.5MP ultrawide sensor. In terms of software, the phones boot HarmonyOS 6.1, which brings a native agentic AI assistant along with a bunch of new image editing tools.
The Pura 90 Pro and Pro Max feature the Kirin 9030S chip with up to 16GB RAM and 1TB internal storage. The vanilla Pura 90 gets the Kirin 9010S. Both phones are equipped with 6,000mAh batteries, but the charging speeds vary. The Pura 90 gets a slightly bigger 6,500mAh cell. We’ll know their global pricing when they debut later this month.
