HMD is gearing up to launch a new phone, dubbed the Thunder Pro, according to a new leak. The company looks to expand its smartphone portfolio with the new offering. In addition to revealing the identity, the leak has also shared the alleged renders, revealing the entire design of the HMD Thunder Pro.
Alleged HMD Thunder Pro renders reveal its complete design before launch
Leaker @smashx_60 (HMD_MEME’S) on X is offering us the first look at the HMD Thunder Pro via a render image. Unlike the company’s usual square-shaped rear camera modules, this one has a pill-shaped layout that is somewhat reminiscent of the Google Pixel 10’s camera visor. However, the sensors’ placement is different on this. We can see dual camera lenses placed on the left and right edges of the layout, with the LED flash sitting in the middle. There’s also the HMD branding on the back.
The backplate of the HMD Thunder Pro is flat, but the edges are rounded for a better in-hand grip. It seems the phone has a plastic frame, with the SIM card slot present on the left edge, while the volume rocker and power button are on the right. On the front, there’s a punch-hole cutout and slim bezels.

6,000mAh battery, 50MP camera, and an OLED display
Besides revealing the design, the leak also shed some light on the Thunder Pro specs. It’ll reportedly sport a 6.67-inch FHD+ OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, which is on the lower side compared to the current standard of 120Hz. The phone could feature Unisoc T620 ARM chip with a clock speed of 2.2GHz. This suggests that it will arrive as a lower mid-range Android offering. The phone will pack 8GB RAM and 256GB UFS 2.2 internal storage.
As for photography, the HMD Thunder Pro could feature a 50MP main camera with OIS and an 8MP ultrawide camera. It’ll apparently have a 50MP on the front for selfies. The camera department certainly looks appealing. HMD Thunder Pro keeps up with the current trends in the battery department, with a large 6,000mAh cell. But it’ll charge at just 20W speed.
Rest, the handset may also get an IP65 certification, stereo speakers, a 3.5mm audio jack, and NFC. It’s not clear when the HMD Thunder Pro will debut, but considering the leak, it may not be that far away.
