The Google Pixel 11 Pro XL is the latest phone to go through a teardown and give potential buyers a look at just how durable Google’s latest flagship smartphone is. Google officially announced the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and Pixel 11 Pro Fold on August 12, and they launched on August 20. Now that Google has started shipping these phones and you can buy them in stores, Pixel 11 owners are going to start seeing for themselves just how durable the devices really are.
The teardown, though, is a tool for users who are on the fence about buying one of these new devices until they see how it holds up to damage and how easy it is to repair. JerryRigEverything’s video goes through these details thoroughly by testing things like scratch resistance on the display and frame, while also removing components like the display and battery to show the process of replacing them.

During these durability tests, one of the things that JerryRigEverything always does is try to snap the phone in half. He does this with the Pixel 11 Pro XL by trying to bend and snap it at the center, and there’s little to no flex at all.
Outside of the bend and scratch tests, the phone also has easily-removable components. The display comes off with a little effort but JerryRigEverything also mentions that they’ve done this a lot and they failed about 50 times when they first started, so that’s why removing the screen looked easier. Google also once again uses the pull tabs for the internal battery to make it easier for people to remove. On top of all this, the official parts for the phone can be purchased at iFixit.
