Google is reportedly working on a promo right now for Google Fi that allows customers to sign up for wireless plans for a significantly less expensive monthly fee, but only for a limited time and there are a couple of requirements that need to be met for it become available.
Google Fi is an MVNO that works off of network towers from the big carriers, specifically for T-Mobile exclusively these days. Though, you get some benefits that T-Mobile doesn’t offer, such as included coverage in over 200 countries, which includes international data and not just phone calls and text messages. You also get included data for your smartwatch if you have one, and plans start relatively low at $35 a month. Though, a report has now surfaced that states that Google is offering a promo on Google Fi plans that brings the price down to well below that amount.
A Google Fi promo is being offered that brings monthly plans down to as low as $9
As reported by Android Police, there’s a new Google Fi offer making the rounds that lowers the Unlimited Essentials plan from $35 to just $9 a month. One caveat here with this promo is that it only works for new Google Fi customers, not existing ones. It’s also reported that this is only good for the first 12 months. After that, you’d end up having to pay whatever the normal monthly rate is for the plan that you’re on.
It’s also stated that you have to bring your own phone to attach the plan to. It’s not just the Unlimited Essentials plan that’s available on promo, either. The report mentions that Google is also offering steep discounts on the Unlimited Standard and Unlimited Premium plans. With the former coming down to just $13 a month, and the latter being $17 a month. For comparison, these other two plans are normally $50 and $65 a month, respectively.
