Google is making it easier to use AI to book your next vacation. Today, Google is announcing that AI Mode can now be used to track flight prices; it can show you the cost in points or miles; and, finally, you can book your dream hotel right inside AI Mode.
One of the most popular features of Google Flights is the ability to track prices for flights you’re considering. This is something that I use all the time, and now the feature is integrated directly into AI Mode. You’ll be able to set up price alerts as you chat, without breaking the workflow. Just tell AI Mode where and when you want to fly, and it can show you the best options available with the latest prices from over 300 partner airlines and travel sites.
If you’re waiting for prices to drop, just say something like “track these flight prices for me,” and once you confirm, you’ll get an email when and if these prices change. Google says that flight price tracking in AI Mode is available now in more than 180 countries and territories.
AI Mode can now also show you the cost of this flight in points or miles. This is a brilliant feature, because sometimes it’s cheaper to book with miles from an airline partner. While Delta might charge you 200,000 miles to fly from New York to Paris, Air France might be half of that.
Booking hotels made easier
AI Mode is also making it super easy to book your dream hotel for your next vacation. Simply tell AI Mode about your upcoming trip and your hotel preferences to get a visual list of options, complete with guest reviews and key factors to compare. Once you find the hotel you want to book, just select “Continue on Google” in the list of booking options to book your stay.
Google says that hotel booking in AI Mode has started rolling out in the US in English and will be available over the coming weeks with the following partners: Booking.com, Choice Hotels International, Expedia, Hilton, Hotels.com, IHG Hotels and Resorts, Marriott International, Priceline, Trip.com, and Wyndham Hotels and Resorts.
