Gears of War: E-Day is out now on PC and Xbox consoles, and as one would have it’s also one of the newest games to come to the GeForce NOW library, allowing you to stream it from any compatible GeForce NOW device, which includes several smart TVs, smartphones that run on Android and on iOS, handhelds like the Steam Deck and ROG Xbox Ally X20, and even Windows laptops and Google Chromebooks.
Gears of War is a storied franchise that has had five numbered titles in the mainline series, with E-Day being a prequel story that sets up the events of what eventually becomes the first Gears of War game. It’s set about 14 years before the events of that game, and while it re-introduces you to many familiar characters, this is canonically the first time you meet them. If you own the game on Steam or Xbox, you can stream it via GeForce NOW as long as you have your Xbox account linked to your GeForce NOW account. The game is also available through Game Pass.
Gears of War: E-Day is one of 10 new games being added to the service this week
Gears of War: E-Day is one of the newest games to hit the service but it’s only one of the 10 new games you can stream as of October 8. It’s also not the only new release. In fact, most of the games dropping on GeForce NOW today are new release titles, including Star Wars: Galactic Racer, Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival, Forever Ago, Order of the Sinking Star, Silver Pines, and Permafrost (which actually launches on October 9 so you will be able to stream it then.
The three remaining games being added this week are Graveyard Keeper 2, Solasta II, and Tyr. NVIDIA is also confirming that those who play games via GeForce NOW on Fire TV devices, will soon be able to purchase their GeForce NOW subscriptions through Amazon to streamline the setup process.
