The Samsung Galaxy S27 has just made its first official appearance, albeit a not very exciting one. The phone has surfaced in the GSMA database, which flat-out confirms its name.
The Samsung Galaxy S27 name gets confirmed
This is the vanilla Galaxy S27 model, it seems, and it surfaced under the SM-S952U model number. The listing is from June 8, so it was listed just a couple of days ago.

This listing basically means that the phone has been registered and incorporated into the legal framework. It, at the same time, confirms that the device exists, and coming, of course.
The model number that is listed here, the SM-S952U, specifically, represents a US variant of the Galaxy S27. Everything before the letter ‘U’ basically represents the Galaxy S27 model in general.
At the time of this writing, the base Galaxy S27 model is the only one that surfaced on GSMA. The other two variants are likely coming in the near future, though, the Galaxy S27 Pro and Galaxy S27 Ultra.
Samsung will be ditching the ‘Plus’ model with the Galaxy S27 series
As you probably know by now, Samsung will be ditching the ‘Plus’ model this time around. The Galaxy S27 Pro will replace it, and act as a flagship alternative to the Galaxy S27 Ultra. It will not support an S Pen stylus, and it will have a somewhat different camera setup.
All three of these phones are expected to arrive in the first quarter of next year. The Galaxy S26 series arrived a bit later than expected, in late February. The Galaxy S27 series is expected either in January or February next year.
So, we’re still over half a year away from that point. We’ll see plenty more rumors and leaks regarding the Galaxy S27 series; this is just the beginning, of course.
