Ford says there’s a good reason it achieved the top spot among mainstream brands in JD Power’s 2026 Initial Quality Study. Since its push to solve reliability and recall issues that started in 2023, the Blue Oval has been hiring very granular experts to manage specific areas of vehicle production, and those so-called “technical specialists” deserve much of the credit for the upswing.
