Circular has just added blood pressure monitoring to the Circular Ring 2. This follows the announcement of the Circular Ring 3, which was announced at IFA 2026, but we don’t know when that one will become available.
The Circular Ring 2 can now measure your blood pressure
In any case, the Circular Ring 2 is now allowing users to estimate systolic and diastolic blood pressure directly from their finger. The whole process takes around 60 seconds, Circular says.
Considering that this is a ring, it will not squeeze your artery, like a traditional blood pressure cuff. Circular Ring 2 simultaneously captures ECG and PPG signals to calculate Pulse Wave Transit Time (PWTT).
That is, it measures how quickly the pulse wave created by each heartbeat travels to the finger. Pulse waves generally travel faster when arteries are stiffer and under greater pressure; Circulair can use this timing data to estimate blood pressure.
In order to get an accurate baseline, users will first take three blood pressure readings with a traditional cuff and enter those readings into the Circulair app. The calibration will give the ring a personal reference point from which it can calculate subsequent blood pressure estimates.

Once everything is calibrated, monitoring can be carried out directly via the Circular Ring 2. You won’t need to use a cuff each time. Circular does recommend recalibrating with a cuff every 30 days in order to maintain accuracy.
If you’d like to take a blood pressure measurement, you’ll need ot place a finger from the opposite hand on the ring. You need to do that in order to complete the ECG circuit while the ring itself captures 20 consecutive high-quality heartbeats and combines the resulting ECG and PPG data.
Circular notes that the blood pressure measurement feature is now available through the Circular app. It will not cost you extra, nor require a subscription. The company also notes that it is “designed to help users monitor trends rather than provide a medical diagnosis or guide treatment decisions.”
