This year’s IFA 2026 was, as per usual, packed with new and interesting tech. There were tons of robotic appliances, but some of them stood out, like the ANTHBOT R7 series, for example. ANTHBOT announced two robot lawn mowers this time around: the R720 and R730. Both of them are quite compelling for a number of reasons and have one special new feature. All that is the reason why we sent one of our IFA 2026 awards to ANTHBOT.
The ANTHBOT R7 series lawn mowers come with a fully hands-free robot arm
The company said that the whole point of these lawn mowers is to “deliver a more complete autonomous lawn-care experience,” and based on what we’ve seen thus far, it seems like these lawn mowers will do just that. They have the world’s first fully hands-free EdgeEase Trimming Robot Arm. That’s the one special feature that I mentioned in the previous paragraph. This robot arm automatically follows irregular lawn boundaries to “deliver zero-gap edge trimming.”
These two lawn mowers also havea 6-motor AWD, HoloSense Fusion Navigation, and intelligent animal detection. Four of the aforementioned 6 motors are for driving around, while two are independent steering motors. The ANTHBOT R7 robots can also handle slopes of up to 40° / 84% and overcome vertical obstacles of up to 7cm. So, even if your garden is not the prettiest and well-kept one, these robots should do the trick.
The HoloSense Fusion Navigation is one of the most advanced out there
The HoloSense Fusion Navigation mentioned earlier combines dual LiDAR, AI vision cameras, and PPP-RTK (Precise Point Positioning RTK) for positioning and environmental perception. These robots can easily spot animals that are hiding in the grass or something like that. On top of all that, the ANTHBOT R7 includes dual floating cutting discs with a daily mowing capacity of up to 4,000 m², 600 m² per charge. Speaking of which, you can quickly charge them in only 60 minutes.
ANTHBOT has been making some of the most compelling robot lawn mowers out there for years now, and the latest two look very compelling. They’re on display at IFA 2026 and will go on sale next year.
