Amazon’s Fire TV Stick lineup can be confusing, with multiple models being available at different price points. Alongside launching the new Fire TV Stick 4K and new Fire TV remote control, the company is taking a major step in fixing the confusion for users. Amazon simplifies its Fire TV device lineup. Here are the details.
Amazon simplifies Fire TV device lineup with fewer options
Amazon has five different Fire TV streamers. The company offered the Fire TV Stick HD, Fire TV Stick 4K Select, Fire TV Stick 4K Plus, Fire TV Stick 4K Max, and Fire TV Cube. However, it is now cutting them down to four. Starting today, the lineup will just include the Fire TV Stick HD, Fire TV Stick 4K, Fire TV Stick 4K Max, and Fire TV Cube.
Amazon has reduced the range by 20%, which should make it easier to navigate. Hopefully, this will clear the confusion for users. They’ll now have to choose between three streaming sticks and one Cube.

There are now just four options to choose from
As a refresher, the Fire TV Stick HD launched earlier this year with a slimmer design and costs $35. The Fire TV Stick 4K is the $60 model that went official today, and the Max is quite popular. Meanwhile, the Fire TV Cube was last updated in 2022. It is especially for those who want “the best Fire TV streaming product” with hands-free Alexa+ functionality and voice control.
Based on their price tag, the features will vary. If you’re looking to get one for your home, Amazon’s Prime Day event is coming up next week. These devices are also likely to get some big discounts. The company already announced that, during the sale, customers in the US can get the new 4K stick for just $30, a 50% discount off its regular $60 price tag.
