Dell’s gaming brand, Alienware, is preparing to celebrate its 30th birthday in October and is launching even more gaming monitors to mark the occasion.
Alienware has taken to Computex in Taiwan to announce four new high-end gaming monitors that are made for enthusiasts. The lineup includes both OLED and VA displays, with the flagship being a 39-inch 5K gaming monitor.
According to Alienware, the AW3926QW is the world’s first 39-inch 5K OLED gaming monitor and uses RGB Tandem OLED. Essentially, this monitor uses four RGB layers to increase brightness without sacrificing color accuracy or deep blacks. This also helps this monitor hit 1,300nits of peak brightness. Alienware has made this a curved monitor at 1500R, which is about the same curvature as your eye.
This is a 5K resolution monitor; users can downgrade to 1080p via the OSD menu and get up to a 330Hz refresh rate. Giving you a much smoother experience.
Alienware also has a 34″ QD-OLED Monitor
The next monitor Alienware is announcing at Computex is the AW3426DW, which uses the latest RGB Penta Tandem OLED technology. This provides a much superior and brighter visual experience. This one also has peak brightness of 1,300nits, and improves the refresh rate from 240Hz to 280Hz.
The final two monitors from Alienware use a VA panel with 34- and 32-inch sizes. These are the AW3426DWM and AW3226DM, which both offer up to 240Hz refresh rate at 3440×1440 and 2560×1440, respectively. These are also 1500R curved displays, too, with AMD FreeSync Premium for tear-free gameplay, Dolby Vision, and VESA DisplayHDR 400 support.
Alienware, unfortunately, has not announced pricing for all of these monitors. But we do know that the VA monitors will be available starting in late June, with the AW3226DM going for $299 and the AW3426DWM for $399.
