As many of you know, Samsung collaborated with several luxury brands in the past. We’ve seen special editions of the company’s foldable smartphones from brands like Thom Browne and Maison Margiela.
Considering the popularity of the Galaxy Z Fold 8, this move by Samsung is expected. The Galaxy Z Fold 8 represents a new form factor for Samsung, and based on sales thus far, it has been a home run.
A luxury edition of the Galaxy Z Fold 8 is coming
Samsung will want to benefit from this as much as possible, hence the ‘luxury branded’ label. What this report does not mention is which brand the company will collaborate with. That is anyone’s guess at this point.
The South Korean tech giant had a long and fruitful partnership with Thom Browne, though, so that’s probably what we’ll be getting. There is, of course, a chance Samsung will go in a completely different direction.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 was announced on July 22, and it has been available to purchase for a while now. The phone broke all sorts of sales records for Samsung thus far, both in Korea and globally.

Samsung even managed to underestimate the demand for the phone. You can expect a lot more wide foldalbes to arrive in the next year or so following the popularity of this one.
The iPhone Ultra, Apple’s first foldable, is expected to arrive in September. The same goes for Xiaomi’s first wide foldable, actually. HONOR, OPPO and Vivo are all tipped to be working on such phones as well.
