Another tipster has confirmed the colors of the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra. These include purple, black, and white, with the online exclusive being green.
These colors we have seen leaked before from other sources; in fact, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 screen protectors we just published show the purple Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra.
Unlike the iPhone 17 Pro series last year, which decided to skip out on a black option, Samsung is opting to keep it around. The hero color this year is very likely going to be that purple, since that is the only non-neutral color that will be available that won’t be exclusive to Samsung.com.
While this doesn’t sound like a whole lot of color options for the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra this year, it is the same number as the Galaxy Z Fold 7 had last year. Which was Silver Shadow, Jetblack, Blue Shadow, and the exclusive was Mint. It’s nice to see three new colors here, actually, with only the black sticking around again.
The Android Headlines Take
It’s good to see Samsung sticking with both a black and a white option. Not everyone wants a bright, bold color. Though, from what we’ve been told by Motorola, the opposite is true. With Motorola using many different colors and materials on its phones lately, the majority of buyers are buying non-neutral colors.
The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra is set to debut alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Flip 8 later this month at an Unpacked event. It is currently rumored for July 22 in London. Though we don’t yet have the official invite from Samsung, that should be coming very soon, seeing as we’re less than three weeks away.
Along with these new foldables, we are also expecting the Galaxy Watch 9, Galaxy Watch Ultra 2, and likely at least a tease of the new smart glasses Samsung confirmed with Google at I/O in May.
