Huawei could be the first company to announce a foldable tablet. Based on a new report, Huawei could bring its foldable tablet to market in the first quarter of next year.
Huawei could be the first company to deliver a foldable tablet
We’ve seen rumors regarding foldable tablets from both Samsung and Apple in the past, but it doesn’t seem like either of those is coming soon. Huawei certainly looks to be the closest to achieving this, as it did with the world’s first tri-fold handset.
The information here comes from Digital Chat Station, one of the best-known and most accurate tipsters around. That’s basically everything he shared, though, the launch window for the device.
Huawei has been experimenting with various foldable designs thus far. Not only was Huawei first to deliver a tri-fold, but it also launched the Pura X and Pura X Max, which deliver a different foldable experience.
It is tipped to launch in Q1 2027, but we’re not sure if it will make its way to global markets
A foldable tablet could take things to the next level and offer users even more options when it comes to foldables. We’re assuming that this device will launch in China first, and we’re not sure if will make its way to global markets.
In the comments of Digital Chat Station’s post, another tipster suggested that the Kirin 9050 Pro SoC will be used. He also said that the device will have a battery bigger than 5,500mAh, and a main camera with variable aperture. A crease-free display was also mentioned. We’re not sure if any of this info is accurate, though.
Huawei’s developer conference, aka HDC 2026, is scheduled to occur in the near future. Huawei scheduled the event for June 12-14, so who knows, we may get first info about this tablet, or at least a teaser of some sort. Don’t hold your breath, but it could happen.
