The Samsung Galaxy S27 series has entered the software development stage early
He claims that the Galaxy S27 series has entered the software development and testing stage, which means that it happened notably earlier than last year with the Galaxy S26 series.
The tipster says he found out that Samsung wants to give the Galaxy S27 series significantly more time for software optimizations compared to the previous generation. So a head start with software development will make sure that the OS is fine-tuned for launch day.
Samsung hopes this will result in properly optimized performance and power efficiency, improved camera algorithms, and various other improvements as well.
Samsung wants the software to be spot on for launch day
The tipster claims that the ultimate goal is to have the Galaxy S27 series launch “with a higher level of software maturity and a more polished, stable experience from day one, instead of relying on multiple post-launch updates to gradually improve it.”
This time around, we’ll be getting four Galaxy S27 series phones from the get-go. The Galaxy S27, Galaxy S27+, Galaxy S27 Pro, and Galaxy S27 Ultra are coming. The ‘Pro’ model is the newcomer in the series.
That phone will be placed between the ‘Plus’ and ‘Ultra’ models, both in terms of prowess and price. All four of these phones are expected to arrive in either January or February next year. In other words, they’re coming in Q1 2027.
We’ve already shared designs of the Galaxy S27, Galaxy S27 Pro, and Galaxy S27 Ultra. The Galaxy S27+ will look the same as the Galaxy S27, but it will be a bit bigger. Samsung is not looking to change much design-wise, compared to the previous generation.
