Disney Plus and Hulu are getting a price hike in 2026
Variety reports that Disney Plus Premium and Hulu Premium without ads are seeing a price hike from $18.99 to $21.49 per month. That’s a 13% jump. The move seems to make the bundle more appealing, as the Disney Plus and Hulu Premium bundle is going up by $2 to $21.99 per month. That is nearly half the price of subscribing to both platforms separately.
The Disney Plus and Hulu standalone plans with ads are also increasing, from $11.99 to $12.49 per month. Meanwhile, the Disney Plus and Hulu bundle with ads stays at $12.99 per month. That’s just 50 cents more than subscribing to either service separately.
Disney is defending the price hike
For packages that include ESPN, the Disney Plus and Hulu bundle with ads, and ESPN Select now cost $21.99/ month. That’s a $2 jump. The Unlimited version remains at $35.99. The ad-free Select bundle costs $32.99 per month, up $3, while the ad-free Unlimited bundle stays at $44.99. The Disney Plus and Hulu price increases are already effective for new subscribers. Existing customers will see the higher prices on their next monthly bill.
Disney is defending the price hike by saying its competitors have raised prices by an average of 13% this year. “We are keeping the price of our most popular bundle unchanged and have increased our standalone ad-supported offerings by just 4%,” a spokesperson told TechRadar. They add that the price hikes are part of Disney’s investment in “new technology, features, and personalization.”
