Apple’s first foldable is finally official, and I’ve been digging into every detail of the iPhone Duo since it launched. While most of the conversation has centered on the folding display and the return of Touch ID, the color options deserve their own spotlight. Apple went with just two choices this time, Night Sky and Star White, which says a lot about how the company is positioning its foldable debut.
Night Sky and Star White: What Sets Them Apart
Star White is the simpler of the two. It’s a clean, understated white that leans into the classic iPhone look rather than trying to reinvent it. If you want your Duo to read as a premium device without shouting about it, this is the one to grab.
Night Sky is the bolder pick. It’s a deep, almost-black shade with a hint of blue running through it, giving the phone a completely different personality depending on the light. Both colorways sit on a mirror-polished grade 5 titanium frame, which Apple has carried over from the iPhone Air for extra durability without piling on weight.
Only offering two colors is a notable departure from the iPhone 18 Pro lineup, which launched the same day with four finishes. It seems Apple wanted the Duo’s design to speak for itself rather than compete for attention through color variety.
Beyond the finishes, the iPhone Duo packs a 5.4-inch cover display and a 7.6-inch inner display, powered by the same A20 Pro chip found in the iPhone 18 Pro. Pricing starts at $1,999 for the 256GB model, rising to $3,199 for the 2TB model, with pre-orders opening on October 16 and availability on October 23.
