Rumors ahead of today’s iPhone Duo announcement had suggested the device would be US-only. But Apple has confirmed that this is not the case.
In a footnote at the bottom of their press release, they confirm that it will be available in “more than 70 countries and regions” on October 23, with pre-orders starting on October 16. This includes regions like Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Colombia, France, Germany, India, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Singapore, South Korea, Turkey, the UAE, the UK, and the US. With further regions getting the iPhone Duo on October 30.
This also likely means that the supply won’t be as small as we had feared. Though it might still be tough to get an iPhone Duo on day one. Despite the heavy $1,999 starting price.
Apple is also launching the iPhone Duo in three other storage capacities. The 512GB model will be $2,199, the 1TB model $2,599, and the 2TB model $3,199.
The iPhone Duo colors are pretty simple this year, with Star White and Night Sky being available. Basically, white and a dark blue. Similar to the iPhone Air, it also has a titanium frame, which is to help it remain as durable as it can be. And as we saw with the iPhone Air, it should do pretty well in that regard.
Apple also confirmed when iOS 27.1 will launch
Since the iPhone Duo is launching later on, versus the other iPhone 18 Pro models, Apple also noted that it would be available with iOS 27.1. Which means that the week of October 19 is when iOS 27.1 will be rolling out. That’s not a huge surprise; we typically get a dot-one update about once a month.
Siri AI will still be rolling out as a beta in iOS 27 on Monday, September 14, however. And it’ll be available to users who have their device set to English, with support for French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish coming in October.
