Samsung launched the One UI 9 beta program in May, starting with the Galaxy S26 series of flagship smartphones. Gradually, the company has been enrolling more smartphones and tablets in the program. Most recently, Samsung released the One UI 9 beta update to a bunch of devices, including a few Galaxy A and S series smartphones and a smartwatch.
The One UI 9 beta update rolls out for the Galaxy A36, A56, and S24 FE smartphones
Surprisingly, the mid-range Galaxy A36 and Galaxy A56 smartphones are among the new Samsung devices to get the One UI 9 beta update. Additionally, the company has opened the same program for the Galaxy S24 FE as well. Users of all three smartphones can try the new features of the One UI 9 version before the company releases the stable version later this year.
The Galaxy A36’s One UI 9 beta is currently for Indian users. The firmware version of the update is A366EXXUCZZHI, while it tips the scales at around 2.3GB. The Galaxy A56’s same update is live in South Korea and could soon be hitting devices in the UK, India, and the US.
Coming to the Galaxy S24 FE, Samsung has rolled out the One UI 9 beta for the phone in South Korea and India. The first One UI 9 beta update for the device has the firmware number S721BXXUEZZHL in India and has a size of around 3.4GB.
Samsung also opens the One UI 9 beta program for its smartwatches
Apart from the aforementioned phones, Samsung has also kicked off the One UI 9 beta program for a couple of smartwatches. The Galaxy Watch 7 and the original Galaxy Watch Ultra are now eligible for the update. The company has built the new update on Wear OS 7 and is currently offering it to users in South Korea. The brand should release it to US users soon.
The size of the update is quite big, taking up nearly 2GB of your smartwatch’s storage. Galaxy Watch owners who join the test through the Samsung Members app will get to try out some interesting new health features.
The update adds tracking for your Antioxidant Index and Vascular Load to give you a deeper look at your body. You will also notice a fresh design and some new widgets on your home screen. Samsung will use feedback from these tests to fix bugs before launching the final version for everyone.
