Google managed to scare some Pixel Watch users, and if you’re among them, you have nothing to worry about. If you’re out of the loop, let me explain.
Google Pixel Watch users receive false warning, Health Sync is not going anywhere
If you own the original Google Pixel Watch, you may have received a warning that says your watch will lose Google Health sync support. A screenshot of the prompt is included below so that you can see it.

Plenty of users jumped to Reddit to express their frustrations about this, which is more than understandable. It seems like this was just a bug, though. There’s nothing to worry about; you won’t be losing Google Health sync support.
Google confirmed that this was shown by mistake, and that the original Pixel Watch will not be losing Google Health sync support.
This is what a Google spokesperson said to Android Authority: “We spotted this, too, and can confirm that the Google Health App and Coach fully support legacy Pixel Watch and Fitbit devices. We are aware of a bug that was incorrectly showing a message to some users, and it has been fixed.”
Google Health sync requires Wear OS 4 or later to work
While you won’t be losing Google Health sync on the original Pixel Watch, od note that the Google Health app requires Wear OS 4 or later to work. The Pixel Watch did receive this update, so it meets the requirement.
This prompt should not pop up to any more users at this point in time. Google spokesperson did confirm that the issue was fixed, as a bug was in place. There are probably still users out there who did not get the memo, though, unfortunately.
As a reminder, the Google Pixel Watch was announced back in October 2022. That makes it almost 4 years old at this point.
