Ahead of the Qualcomm Summit coming up in October, the company’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro has shown in up in benchmarks with a reported score, shedding light on potential performance results for what is going to be Qualcomm’s top-end chipset for mobile devices.
Qualcomm is reportedly going to release multiple variants of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chipset, a Pro model and a standard model, with the Pro model rumored to come with 5GHz cores and a new GPU, which is believed to be the Adreno 850. The Pro model is also reportedly a potential boost for gamers, and is believed to come with FPS upscaling capabilities that are powered by AI.
Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro benchmarks show a pretty high AnTuTu score
Phones with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro won’t be showing up for months, but that doesn’t mean you have to wait that long for a peek into the chipset’s performance capabilities. According to a new post on X from Abhishek Yadav, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro has been tested in AnTuTu Benchmark V11, and the resulting score is 4,835,412.
Compared to the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy, which was tested via AnTuTu in the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, the score is much higher, with Qualcomm’s current top-end chip reaching a score of 3,453,998. Yadav also states that MediaTek’s top-end chipset comparable to the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro will be around 4.5 million, trailing just a little behind Qualcomm’s upcoming flagship chipset. No devices have been confirmed yet to be getting the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipset, but it has been rumored that the OnePlus 16 will be one of the phones to use it when it launches, which is thought to be in October sometime after Qualcomm announces its new chips.
