New Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 promo images have surfaced, and they not only show us the watch again, but we’re also getting some spec information. The images have been shared by Evan Blass aka evleaks.
The Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 promo images have landed
You can see all the images that the tipster shared in the gallery below. One thing that caught our eye immediately is the battery capacity increase, which was rumored before.
The Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 will feature an 800mAh battery. That’s a huge increase over a 590mAh battery inside the original Galaxy Watch from 2024. This thing should be able to offer much better battery life.
It will be thinner despite the much larger battery pack
What else? Well, despite the fact it will have a bigger battery, the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 will be thinner than its predecessor. It will be 12% thinner, according to the information shared by the tipster.
The watch will be made out of titanium, and it will be IP69K certified for water and dust resistance. Furthermore, its display will be able to get extremely bright when needed, as the upper limit is 5,000 nits, in theory.
Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Wear Elite chip will fuel the watch
These images also confirm that the Snapdragon Wear Elite chip from Qualcomm will fuel the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2. The watch will once again have a round display, but the general shape will be more square.
Three buttons will sit on the right side, and the watch is coming in two colors. We’ve recently shared a ton of official Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 renders if you’re interested.
The Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 will become official later this week, on July 22. That’s only two days away, as Samsung’s second Unpacked event is taking place in London. The Galaxy Watch 9 will also be announced, alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, and Galaxy Z Flip 8.
