As we inch closer to Samsung’s big Unpacked event next month, we’re starting to see more and more details about the devices that Samsung will be announcing at the event. Of course, we know that the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, and Galaxy Z Flip 8 are all being announced at this event. We’ve seen them leak out numerous times already, including Galaxy Z Fold 8 cases earlier this week. Now we’ve got eyes on the screen protectors for these devices.
These renders don’t show us a whole lot about these screen protectors; they’re pieces of glass that adhere to the cover display on all three models. But this does give us another look at some of the colors we’re expecting to see this time around.
The Galaxy Z Fold 8 (formerly known as the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide) appears in a light purple color, which is one of the rumored colors for this phone. It actually looks very similar to the ‘Bora Purple’ Galaxy S22 from a few years ago. While the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra shows a nice Burgundy color, a bit of a dark red color perhaps to compete with Apple’s upcoming iPhone 18 Pro, which is also said to be available in a Dark Cherry color this year. Then we have the Galaxy Z Flip 8 in a pink color.
The Android Headlines Take
There’s not a lot to take away from these renders of the phones with their screen protectors, but I will say that the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra does look even thinner than the Fold 7 did. This could be just due to the colors and the angle, but it does look thinner. And that burgundy color looks stunning on this form factor.
Samsung Unpacked is set for later this month, so we should be seeing a lot more rumors and leaks heading into Unpacked. Don’t forget that Samsung is also supposedly launching the Galaxy Watch 9, Galaxy Watch Ultra 2, and potentially the new smart glasses that were officially confirmed at Google I/O.
