The Samsung Galaxy S27 Pro is tipped to feature the Galaxy S27 Ultra’s most talked-about feature. We’re talking about Privacy Display here, as a well-known tipster confirmed it’s now in testing.
The Galaxy S27 Pro will get Privacy Display, as Samsung is currently testing it
The information comes from Digital Chat Station, one of the best-known tipsters around. He went to Weibo to confirm that Samsung is currently testing a hardware-level privacy screen feature.
That feature is called Privacy Display, and it debuted on the Galaxy S26 Ultra this year. That’s also the only smartphone from the company that currently supports it. Based on this info, it’ll spread to at least one non-Ultra phone next year.
That’s not the only detail that the tipster confirmed. Digital Chat Station went on to say that the phone will feature a 6.47-inch display. That won’t exactly be as compact as 6.3-inch panels that many companies use, but it’ll be close enough. Samsung is expected to use quite thin bezels on the device, so it should be fairly more compact than the Galaxy S27 Ultra.
The Privacy Display keeps shoulder surfers at bay, and it works great on the Galaxy S26 Ultra
For those of you who are unaware, the Privacy Display available on the Galaxy S26 Ultra essentially ditches shoulder surfers. It prevents people around you from seeing what’s on your display, as long as they’re looking at it at an angle.
Only a person who is looking at the display straight on can see what’s going on. That feature is also customizable on the Galaxy S26 Ultra. You can enable it only for specific apps, such as messaging apps and banking apps. It’s entirely up to you.
We presume that it will work the same way on the Galaxy S27 Pro. Based on our experience, it actually works well and does a great job of keeping your privacy intact. It has been the main feature that Samsung promoted for a reason.
We’re still not sure if it will make its way to the Galaxy S27 as well, but it would be great to see. We are skeptical, though. It remains to be seen.
