The company’s wide foldable will be called the Galaxy Z Fold 8
The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra name is reserved for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 successor, it seems. The wide foldable from the company will be called the Galaxy Z Fold 8. Samsung decided to revamp its naming structure, essentially.
We still don’t see much sense in this, other than the fact that the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra name will be in line with the ‘Ultra’ naming of the Galaxy S series of phones. The Galaxy Z Fold 7’s successor is not expected to reinvent the wheel and deserves the ‘Ultra’ name, but there you go. Samsung seemingly believes this naming structure makes sense.
Both the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra are expected to launch in July. July 22 is the rumored launch date for the two devices. The launch event will allegedly take place in London.
