OnePlus is apparently preparing a Turbo 6X Pro for launch, which is going to cost around CNY 1,500, or about $221 USD. This is going to be a pretty incredible device, particularly for that price.
According to the leaked specs, it’s going to sport an 8,000mAh battery and a “1.5K” resolution OLED display that will refresh at 144Hz. There’s no word on the size of this display, but we do know it is going to be a Samsung OLED, which is quite surprising, since the Turbo 6X (non-pro) was previously rumored to come with an LCD display at the same refresh rate.
While budget phones like this do typically have massive batteries, this is still a new level for OnePlus. They have yet to release a phone with an 8,000mAh battery, with the largest being the OnePlus 15 at 7,300mAh. And knowing how smooth and lightweight OxygenOS (or in this case, ColorOS since it’ll be sold in China) is, that battery is going to last a few days on a charge.
OnePlus Turbo 6X Pro will launch in China, other markets are up in the air
With everything going on with OnePlus right now, we really have no clue where this device will launch, or if it will launch outside of China. We have heard that OnePlus would be focusing on budget and mid-range phones in India from now on, and the Turbo 6X Pro fits that bill.
If this phone does truly launch at this price, it will definitely be competitive in India. Though it’ll likely be a bit higher, as it’s not as subsidized as it is in China. Most phones are cheaper in China because they are subsidized, as well as made there, which drives down the BOM and allows companies to sell these Android phones even cheaper.
