The tech world is curiously waiting for what Vivo will be doing with its next foldable, reportedly dubbed the Vivo X Fold 6. It’ll arrive as the successor to the Vivo X Fold 5 from last year. Credit for the hype around the foldable goes to multiple leaks and reports in recent months. As we patiently wait for an announcement from the brand, a new Weibo leak reveals the Vivo X Fold 6 launch window along with some key specs.
Vivo X Fold 6 specs could include MediaTek Dimensity 9500 and a 7,000mAh battery
Digital Chat Station, who has a pretty good track record with leaks, is the source of the new leak. According to a new Weibo post from him, Vivo is gearing up to unveil the X Fold 6 in China towards the end of this month (June). As a refresher, the predecessor went official in the same month last year. If the company is indeed planning an announcement, we expect teasers to start flowing in the next few days.
The leak doesn’t stop there; it sheds light on key specs of the Vivo X Fold 6. Reiterating his previous claims, Digital Chat Station once again says the foldable will be powered by MediaTek’s current flagship chip, the Dimensity 9500, ditching Qualcomm for good. For comparison, the Vivo X Fold 5 shipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in 2025.
The foldable may debut later this month
Furthermore, the Vivo X Fold 6 could house a 200MP sensor along with a 50MP periscope telephoto lens. Though the latest doesn’t explicitly spill out, it could also get a 50MP ultrawide lens. The phone may pack a 7,000mAh battery, but the fast charging details are not clear.
The foldable will reportedly retain a similar look and feel to its predecessor. It’ll feature a large circular camera module on the rear. It, however, could sport a display with rounded corners. Previous leaks note that the Vivo X Fold 6 may sport an 8.01-inch main display and a 6.51-inch cover screen. We’ll know more if the phone indeed launches later this month.
