Samsung has just posted a new ad that is promoting the Privacy Display on Galaxy S26 Ultra, and it’s a bit creepy to say the least. Essentially, using giant eyeballs around town to watch a guy running. While someone in the coffee shop sees this, and turns on Privacy Display.
It’s a bit of a weird ad, but it does do a good job of highlighting the Privacy Display feature on Galaxy S26 Ultra. Showing that you can choose to hide your entire screen, or just parts of it, like your notifications. With Privacy Display, you can also have it set to only work on certain apps, like banking apps.
That’s what makes Privacy Display so much more important than just a single privacy screen protector that you can buy off of Amazon for a few bucks. We mentioned in our Galaxy S26 Ultra review how great a feature it is.
Galaxy S26 Ultra has been a hit this year
From all metrics we’ve seen, Samsung’s Galaxy S26 Ultra has outsold its predecessor. This includes data from Samsung, as well as industry watchers like Counterpoint. Which recently showed that the Galaxy S26 sales have grown 29% year-over-year, compared to the Galaxy S25 series. That’s not too shabby, especially since the smartphone market actually shrank in the past year.
Privacy Display was one of the headlining features for the Galaxy S26 Ultra this year. And while it’s not perfect, it is a legitimate innovation. One we have not seen from Samsung in quite some time, actually. Privacy Display does have some negative side effects on the display, like it not being as bright, colors being off a little bit, and, of course, some PWM issues for those that are sensitive.
If you’ve been on the fence about buying a Galaxy S26 Ultra, now is the time to do so. Samsung has marked it down by $250 and is also including up to $720 off with an eligible trade-in. Making it a really great deal, actually.
