It seems OnePlus is currently going through big internal changes. A recent report claimed that the company is merging with Realme. However, there doesn’t seem to be a slowdown in its hardware release schedule. The firm has officially launched the OnePlus Pad 4 in India. This premium tablet outperforms the best from Samsung and Apple in key areas like processing power and battery life.
Power-wise, this tablet boasts of the latest Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. This processor allows OnePlus to claim the title of the “world’s fastest Android tablet,” surpassing rivals like the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra in benchmark potential. To keep the heat under control, OnePlus increased the internal vapor chamber’s surface area by 17%.
OnePlus Pad 4 brings a slim design, huge battery capacity
One of the most notable aspects of the table at the design level is its slim profile. Despite packing a gargantuan 13,380mAh battery—a 10% increase over the previous model—the OnePlus Pad 4 is actually thinner than its predecessor. More specifically, it measures just 5.94mm. This battery significantly outpaces both the iPad Pro and the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra, promising up to 20 hours of video playback.
When it comes to charging, the device stays true to the brand’s fast-charging roots with 80W SuperVOOC technology. In internal testing, this allows the massive cell to fully replenish in under two hours.
Display and hardware specs
The tablet features a 13.2-inch LCD screen with a sharp 3.4K resolution (3,392 x 2,400) and a smooth 144Hz refresh rate. While some hoped for an OLED panel, this LCD remains bright, hitting 700 nits under normal conditions and peaking at 1000 nits in high-brightness mode.
The core spec sheet is below:
- Memory: 8GB or 12GB LPDDR5X RAM options.
- Storage: 256GB or 512GB UFS 4.1 variants.
- Audio: An ultra-powerful eight-speaker system.
- Cameras: 13MP rear and 8MP front-facing sensors.
- Connectivity: Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, and USB 3.2 Gen 1.

One interesting change is that OnePlus has removed the 16GB RAM tier seen in the previous generation. Plus, the company lowered the base model to 8GB, likely to manage production costs amid the global memory crisis.
New accessories and software
To push the Pad 4 as a laptop replacement, OnePlus introduced a new backlit keyboard with a floating design similar to Apple’s Magic Keyboard. It also supports the new Stylo Pro, which features 16,000 pressure points and swappable tips for different writing feels.
On the software side, the device runs OxygenOS 16 based on Android 16. This version includes multitasking upgrades, such as the ability to keep up to five apps active simultaneously via split view or floating windows.
OnePlus Pad 4 Price and availability
The OnePlus Pad 4 is currently available in India. The 8GB/256GB model starts at ₹59,999 (about $630). There is no official word on a US or European launch yet. The company is reportedly “evaluating” its future in certain international markets. This leaves the global release of this flagship tablet in question.
