Motorola just announced the moto buds 2 plus alongside the new Razr 2026 series, and these aren’t your average earbuds. They’re packing Sound by Bose technology, which is a pretty big deal for a pair of earbuds sitting at this price point. If you’ve been looking for a solid upgrade to your daily drivers, this might be worth paying attention to.
The moto buds 2 plus are built for people who are constantly on the move, whether that’s hopping between work calls, hitting the gym, or just trying to zone out on the commute home. Motorola clearly had a specific user in mind here, and honestly, it shows in the feature set.
A Lot of Tech Packed Into a Small Package
With the moto buds 2 plus you’re getting 11mm drivers for that full, punchy bass, paired with Knowles balanced armatures for clarity on the high end. That’s a hybrid driver setup you don’t usually see at this price. Add in Hi-Res Audio with LHDC support and Spatial Audio, and this thing is legitimately impressive on paper.
Dynamic ANC is on board to block out the world around you, and six microphones handle call quality with Environmental Noise Cancellation. If that’s still not enough, there’s CrystalTalk AI in the Moto Buds app that uses AI-powered noise reduction to clean up your voice in loud environments. Calls should sound clean, no matter where you’re taking them.
Battery life is solid, too. You’re looking at up to 9 hours on a single charge, with up to 40 hours total when you factor in the charging case. That’s enough to get through a full workweek without stressing about it.
A few other features worth mentioning: Dual Connection lets you stay paired to two devices at once and switch between them seamlessly. Audio Share lets two sets of moto buds 2 plus connect to the same phone.
On compatible Motorola phones, you can even hold and press the buds to activate moto ai, giving you access to features like Catch me up, Pay attention, and Remember this.
The moto buds 2 plus launch in the US on April 30 exclusively at Motorola.com in PANTONE Silhouette, priced at $149.99. Making this a pretty competitive pair of earbuds.
