Xiaomi is rumored to be preparing for an early release of its Xiaomi 17T and 17T Pro flagships. The phones may debut as early as next month. For context, the predecessor, the Xiaomi 15T, debuted in September last year, so a May timeline means the company is jumping ahead with the launch by a good few months. While we wait for the announcement, today’s new leak brings us the complete specs and European price details of the Xiaomi 17T series.
Xiaomi 17T and 17T Pro specs and price details revealed in a new leak
The new leak coming from Dealabs leaves nothing behind. As per the report, the Xiaomi 17T will have a 6.59-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. This is a smaller screen than the Xiaomi 15T, which has a 6.83-inch display. It could ship with the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra SoC, and this will be paired with 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB/512GB UFS 4.1 storage.
It is likely to boot Android 16 with HyperOS 3 layer on top. The phone will reportedly get a 6,500mAh battery with 67W fast wired charging. This is a notable upgrade from the 5,500mAh cell on its predecessor. Connectivity options could include Wi-Fi 6E and NFC. The leak claims it will measure 157.6 x 75.2 x 8.17 mm and weigh 200 grams.Â
For photography, it may get a 50MP main camera using the Light Fusion 800 series sensor with f/1.77 aperture, a 50MP telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom and f/1.8 aperture, and a 12MP ultrawide lens with f/2.2 aperture. For selfies, it could house a 32MP shooter.
Xiaomi 17T Pro gets a bigger battery and a faster chip
On the other hand, the Xiaomi 17T Pro might feature a larger 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a higher 144Hz refresh rate. The Pro model will also be more powerful with the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 SoC at the helm. The phone could rock 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB UFS 4.1 storage. There seems to be no 256GB variant, apparently.
It may house a slightly bigger 7,000mAh battery and support faster 100W wired and 50W wireless charging. Moving to optics, it’ll house a 50MP Light Fusion 950 sensor with f/1.74 aperture, as per the leak. It will also be accompanied by a 50MP telephoto shooter with 5x zoom and f/1.8 aperture and a 12MP ultrawide with f/2.2 aperture.Â
The phone could get a 32MP shooter on the front for selfies. The Xiaomi 17T Pro will reportedly measure 162.2 x 77.5 x 8.25mm and weigh 219 grams. This also runs Android 16 with HyperOS 3 skin on top. For connectivity, it’ll get Wi-Fi 7 and NFC.
They’re quite expensive
Moving to the pricing, the report claims the Xiaomi 17T will cost €749 (~$877) for the 12GB/256GB model. While the exact price for the 512GB version is under wraps, the report speculates it could be between €799 and €849 (~$936 and ~$994).Â
Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 17T Pro will cost €999 (~$1,170) for the 12GB + 512GB. The leak also adds that the Xiaomi 17T and 17T Pro will arrive in blue, black, and purple colors.
These prices represent a €100 (~$118) price hike over the predecessors (Xiaomi 15T and 15T Pro). Xiaomi’s T-series prices are usually aggressive, but these prices bring them close to the premium high-end category, especially the Pro model. This is considering the report is accurate.
