OnePlus is planning to launch a 9,000mAh ‘Turbo’ smartphone soon, and its specs have just been revealed. The information comes from Digital Chat Station, a well-known tipster.
The OnePlus Turbo specs have just surfaced, and they’re quite compelling
The OnePlus Turbo is said to feature a 6.78-inch 1.5K display with a 165Hz refresh rate. That will be an LTPS display from BOE. So it will be an OLED panel, but not an LTPO display. Its refresh rate won’t go down to 1Hz.
The Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 will fuel the device, while a 9,000mAh battery will be included on the inside. Do note that it’s possible the battery capacity will go beyond 9,000mAh, though, that’s something that the tipster noted. It sits somewhere between 9,000mAh and 10,000mAh.
In order to recharge that battery quickly, this phone will also offer 80W charging. That is wired charging, of course, while wireless charging probably won’t be supported by this device.
The device is coming with a huge battery in three color variants
The phone is said to arrive in Black, Green, and Silver color options. It will be available in both 12GB and 16GB RAM variants with 256GB and 512GB of internal storage.
Last week, OnePlus confirmed that a ‘Turbo’ line is coming, and that it will be focused on performance and gaming above anything else.
In addition to the regular ‘Turbo’ phone, the Turbo V is rumored. That device will allegedly use the Snapdragon 7 series processor and also offer a 165Hz display. It will offer a 8,000mAh-9,000mAh battery, and ship in Black, White, and Blue colors.
We’re still not sure whether the OnePlus Turbo line will make its way to global markets or not. It is rumored to launch in India, though, that’s likely happening. It could even stay exclusive to India, actually. It remains to be seen.
