Circular Services began accepting recyclable materials at its new $61 million, 120,000-square-foot materials recovery facility in Frisco.
The facility is located on PGA Parkway, just east of the Dallas North Tollway, in Frisco. It took just over a year to build.
Single-stream recyclables from residents and businesses are processed at the facility, which focuses on maximizing recovery rates and directing commodities to domestic markets, the release states.
Community Impact reports “Cutting-edge sortation technology” is used in the facility including optical sorters and a glass cleanup system with an energy efficient design.
The facility was developed in partnership with construction firm KDW and the CP Group.
Circular Services, formerly known as Balcones Recycling, was awarded the contract to provide recycling processing services in August 2023.
The campus will also feature a transfer station as well as offices and a collection center for Frisco’s Environmental Services Department.
