Xiaomi is preparing to launch a new contender in the wearable market. It will be a new device to blur the line between a traditional fitness tracker and a smartwatch. A fresh leak revealed detailed renders and specifications for the Xiaomi Smart Band 10 Pro, suggesting that an official release is just around the corner. This happens days after design details of the upcoming wearable were leaked.
The Xiaomi Smart Band 10 Pro boasts smartwatch aesthetics
Unlike other “pill-shaped” smart bands on the market, the upcoming device is its rectangular display. The standard Smart Band 10 has the pill-shaped form factor, for instance. According to a report from WinFuture, the Pro model will sport a 1.74-inch AMOLED panel with a resolution of 480 x 400 pixels. This larger screen is housed in an aluminum casing, which looks more premium compared to other entry-level trackers.
Leaked renders (by Winfuture) showcase the Xiaomi Smart Band 10 Pro in classic black and white colors. Additional options like pink, orange, and silver have also been mentioned in various reports, though.
Performance and battery life
Under the hood, the Smart Band 10 Pro is designed to offer impressive endurance. The manufacturer reportedly pitches a battery life of up to 21 days on a single charge. However, users should expect this to decrease to about 10 days if the Always-On Display is active. The total battery life will also vary depending on how you use the device.
For connectivity, the wearable will use Bluetooth 5.4. Xiaomi will offer two versions: a standard model and a slightly more expensive variant featuring NFC for contactless payments. There’s also a 50m water resistance rating and a suite of health-monitoring tools, including heart rate tracking and various dedicated sport modes.
Budget-friendly price tag expected
Xiaomi has not yet confirmed the official pricing or release date. However, judging from the background, the Smart Band 10 Pro will probably be a direct, low-cost alternative to major brands like Fitbit. Previous generations have retailed between $80 and $100 through third-party sellers.
