According to a new report, Xiaomi is working on a smartphone with a 7-inch display and a huge 10,000mAh battery. The information comes from a well-known tipster who also revealed the launch timeframe for the device.
Xiaomi’s 7-inch smartphone with a 10,000mAh battery is coming this year
The information comes from Digital Chat Station, who shared it via Weibo. He did not mention the name of this device, but it could be the Redmi K100 Pro Max. We’ll have to wait and see.
He did, however, mention that the device will feature a large 7-inch display and a 10,000mAh battery. That display will offer a 2K resolution, and a 3nm chipset was also mentioned. We still don’t know which one, though.
The tipster also said that the phone will feature a frame made out of metal and an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner. It will be IP68 and IP69 certified as well, so it will offer really good ingress protection.
In addition to everything mentioned, the tipster also said that the device is expected to arrive around the end of the year. So it is coming in 2026, we just don’t know what its name will be just yet.
It could be named the Redmi K100 Pro Max
The Redmi K100 Pro Max is a logical choice, though, not only because of the battery capacity but because of the launch timeframe as well. The Redmi K90 Pro Max arrived at the end of October last year with a 7,560mAh silicon-carbon battery.
That device also featured a 6.9-inch display. So the Redmi K100 Pro Max could utilize a 7-inch display and a 10,000mAh silicon-carbon battery, which makes sense. On top of it all, the Redmi K90 Pro Max also features Qualcomm’s most powerful chip, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, which is a 3nm processor.
There is always a possibility that one of the main series Xiaomi phones is the one that will include such a battery, but that’s not as likely, at least not yet. We’ll see.
